ART IN THE LOBBY: MOTHER'S DAY 2023

THE ARTISTS' GUILD OF SPARTANBURG TEAMED UP WITH THE SPARTANBURG LITTLE THEATRE TO CELEBRATE MOTHERS THROUGH ART. THE ART WAS DISPLAYED IN THE LOBBY DURING THE RUN OF SLT'S PERFORMANCES OF "FOOTLOOSE".

I joined the Artists' Guild of Spartanburg as soon as I took the ticket office job at Chapman Cultural Center in 2021. I wanted to get more involved in my community and finally put my art out into the world. It wasn't until 2023 when I finally had enough courage to create and have my work be seen by the community. "Queen of the Jungle" is a very special piece to me, you can read the artist statement below. The piece is still up for sale as of July 2023.

TRIFF 24 POSTER CONTEST
The Polk County Film Initiative /Tryon International Film Festival (TRIFF) held its 10th-anniversary poster contest during spring of 2024. Artists from Western NC & Upstate SC were encouraged to participate. All artworks submitted were featured during the TRIFF24 Poster Art Contest Reception & are available for sale with funding supporting Artist Award & event tickets.

A COLLECTION OF DIVERSE WORKS INCLUDING SCULPTURES, PHOTOGRAPHIC PIECES, PAINTINGS, AND MORE. THIS WAS LOCATED IN THE RUTLEDGE BUILDING AT WINTHROP UNIVERSITY.

The Artists' Guild of Spartanburg Spring Fundraiser | 100 pieces of art by local artists for $100 each The exhibit was on display from June 14th-21st 2024, with an Artists Reception and Live Sale on Friday, June 21st from 6-8pm at The Space by Smack Fitness.
